Lethal Barz
Airbag's Info: Airbag credited as "CK" as to not link to previous "crashed car" album.
Nico's Info:
Chair Number 11
Airbag's Info: Recorded for the cancelled "56 Collaborations Project", sat in a folder for months before Sykotik started. I believe it was recorded around August 2022.
Nico's Info:
Mental Warfare
Airbag's Info: Another "56" song. Recorded before Chair 11 but came after it on both tracklists. I don't feature on the song but was there for the recording. When he says "pass me a stella" and then "cheers" i actually did, that wasnt scripted.
Nico's Info:
Lethal Barz 1889
Airbag's Info: Essentially serves as a "backdoor pilot" for sykotik, giving us a bonus feature on someone else's album.
Nico's Info:
Beyond
Airbag's Info: Entirely improvised. The plan was to have me walk in, play the voice message, get mad, and go from there.
Nico's Info:
Stronger
Airbag's Info: The first song written under the "sykotik fm" name. Like a lot of our songs, was recorded in one night.
Nico's Info:
Lose Yourself
Airbag's Info: Recorded on the spot to send to a groupchat. We just kinda sat there for a second and then were like "this is going on the album".
Nico's Info:
Foreword
Airbag's Info: I don't think this was scripted? May have been improvised. Thank you evanescence for not copyrighting us :)
Nico's Info:
Psychotic Frequency Modulation
Airbag's Info: I was intially VERY against the voice filters, especially considering that this was the opening song. Not how i wasnted to be introduced. Ultimatley though, I get it now. It sets your expectations right.
Nico's Info:
Sykotik Minds Think Alike
Airbag's Info: Originally titled "sykotik freestyle" despite not being a freestyle, this was one of the first songs written for east coast smack. I wrote two versions of my verses and actually used version 1 of verse 1 and version 2 of verse 2. I think some of the cut material may end up on album 3.
Nico's Info:
One Word
Airbag's Info: A lot of the random objects I mention were things in the room.
Nico's Info:
Tosmacko
Airbag's Info: Inspired by Lemon Jelly's "lost horizons" album, which we both first listened to a long time ago. If you don't get it they're all cigarette brands, i didn't get it at first cause i don't smoke but maybe its pretty obvious.
Nico's Info:
Afrosmack
Airbag's Info: Instrumentally this song did so much. I love it. It's pretty clear that we have some influence from kurupt fm and this song is where that becomes clear, but there is so much else going on. I did a good bit of comedy freestyle on this one, but i think i could've had an actually good verse on it. Wait for the remix i suppose :P
Nico's Info:
200 Foot In The Bloody Air
Airbag's Info: We say "20 foot" througout the song but "200" at the start. We didn't listen back to the freestyles that often so when titling we just checked the start. We actually were 20 feet in the air but not on a plane (planes are often higher than that), we were on a chairlift.
Nico's Info:
STFU
Airbag's Info: I don't know enough about shea personally to make a diss track. I was given the direction "call him a nonce a few times". But i also remebered seeing some of his guitar videos on instagram, where the guitar playing itself was good but the phone recording sounded terrible. Thats where the "record deal/instagram reels" bar came from.
Nico's Info:
Pleasurewood
Airbag's Info: A freestyle spit at pleasurewood hills, a theme park. We recorded this at "hyper drive" which is a shit version of bumper cars that replaced the actual good pirate themed ride. It was shut down and removed a few months after this which makes this kind of a time capsule. When i say "oh, theres a child over there" at the end there actually was one. I don't wanna make these songs in the vicinity of kids.
Nico's Info:
Take Five
Airbag's Info: Based on the jazz classic of the same name. The "sample" at the end was actually a reconstruction played entirely on keyboard by nico. The unabomber references were there because it was written and recorded on the day he died so i was kinda thinking about him as i wrote it.
Nico's Info:
Iced Out
Airbag's Info: Basically our albums magnum opus. All three of us, classic beat, back and forth with great bars, just a classic. Unfortunatley we never exported the final version and a demo ended up on the digital upload. The full version was later recovered to be released with the CD deluxe edition, but due to internal issues it has been delayed.
Nico's Info:
Unfortunate Circumstances
Airbag's Info: Written by 6 year old nephew. He's also the "child" who shows up at the end of pleasurewood freestyle.
Nico's Info:
East Coast Smack
Airbag's Info: I was told to take this one more seriously but i didn't fully understand that. I interpreted it as "dont make bad sex jokes" but it turned out it was actually a serious song about real shit. However he did include the rosa parks line so i take that as an excuse for everything in my verse. Expect more serious tracks from me in the future, i'm working on some stuff.
Nico's Info:
There's Literal Fungus Growing Between My Toes
Airbag's Info: First song i self produced. I knew i couldnt make it good so i just did This instead. My proposed title was "box of scraps" but nico came up with the fungus title on the spot. Since then I've obtained better recording gear and will be contributing demos to album 3.
Nico's Info:
Intense Penis Pressure
Airbag's Info: I think since "lose yourself" eminem has been present in a lot of my freestyles. I guess i subconciously thnk back to that first one. The euro cent coin and harry potter book referenced were random objects in the room, similar to the one word freestyle where i took objects from the room to sing about.
Nico's Info:
Just Don't Even Listen To This
Airbag's Info: I tried to do an mc mental style "bidididididididi" without pre-preparing and it fucked me up bad. It resulted in a cacophony of shit i couldn't make intentionally.
Nico's Info:
Puffle Flow
Airbag's Info: Our parts were written seperatley. He was upset at me for including threats and stuff in a song for children but it turned out he was joking cause he threw a bunch in at the end anyway. Maybe it was intended to be a gradual progression.
Nico's Info:
Waltz In A Minor Op.1 No.1
Airbag's Info:
Nico's Info:
The Coastal Line
Airbag's Info:
Nico's Info:
Wookie
Airbag's Info: Origianlly intended for the digital upload, polyphia DMCA'd us for using their beat. No one else did this!! Just them. It turned out alright though cause now we have bonus material for our CD.
